NATURAL PARK SÃO MAMEDE'S MOUNTAIN |

To the west of Portalegre, this nature reserve spreads over the limits of Portugal, up to the south of the province of Caceres and to the north of that of Badajoz. A broken rocky elevation that to the north is accentuated up to coming to all 1.000 meters of altitude, colonizada for forests of chestnut-trees and pines. On the south, on more converted to pasture area, there are combined the groups of oaks and blockheads in a penillanura that does not overcome all 350 meters. With an important rural dispersed habitat, the geography is splashed with small villages, villages and cities, typical with the Alentejo and center of Portugal.
